Do you have experience with chromatography and want to take the next step in your career within Life Science? We are now looking for an analytical chemist with a focus on method development and instrument qualification for an exciting consulting assignment with our client in Strängnäs. Here you will have the opportunity to work in a high-tech environment where your expertise in chromatography becomes the key to success.

In the role of analytical chemist, you will work focused on method development and optimization, with a special focus on UPLC and HPLC. A large and important part of your assignment will also involve qualifying new equipment and driving instrument qualification for UPLC systems. You will work in a strictly regulated environment where GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) is a central part of your daily routine. The software program you will primarily handle and work in is Empower. To succeed in the role, it is a big plus if you have experience in all areas, but it is sufficient to have a stable foundation and experience within HPLC to be considered for the position.

Responsibilities

• University education in natural sciences or engineering (e.g., in chemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy) or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience working with chromatography (experience with UPLC is highly advantageous, but good experience with HPLC is a requirement).
• Experience in method development within chromatographic techniques.
• Experience in working with instrument qualification and qualification of new equipment.
• Experience working in the Empower software.
• Very good understanding and practical experience of working in a GMP-regulated environment.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as documentation takes place at a strict regulatory level.
• We are looking for you who are analytical, structured, and meticulous in your approach. Since the role involves qualifying new equipment, you thrive with taking own responsibility, driving processes forward, and solving technical problems. You also have good communication skills that make it easy for you to collaborate with different functions in the laboratory.

Qualifications

• Develop, optimize, and evaluate analytical methods with a focus on UPLC and/or HPLC.
• Drive and be responsible for instrument qualification of UPLC systems as well as qualification of new laboratory equipment.
• Work daily in the Empower chromatography system for data collection and evaluation.
• Document all work carefully in accordance with current GMP regulations.
• Troubleshoot instruments and methods and contribute to continuous improvements in the laboratory.
